Beijing, May.25th (xinhua)--Member of Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee Liu Qi, together with member of Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Chinese State Councilor and Public Security Minister Zhou Yongkang, came to the Chinese International Exhibition Center on May 25th, visiting the 9th "China Beijing International High-tech Expo" being held, full of zest.

In the 60,000 m2 exhibition hall, Liu Qi, Zhou Yongkang, and other leaders, came to different rooms respectively, such as rooms for computer network and electronic communication technologies, science-tech and culture creative industries, automobile technologies, and foreign national exhibitions, experiencing the latest scientific and technological achievements.

During the visit, Liu Qi and Zhou Yongkang inquired detailed about conditions of the Dutch energy-saving air-conditioner, Jingdongfang Industrial Base and Tang Hua electric vehicle , and meanwhile experienced Nokia picturephone and Lenovo robots, interestedly. Liu Qi and Zhou Yongkang expressed great admiration upon technicians' hard work.

The 9th High-tech Expo, lasting for 5 days and inaugurated on 23rd, exhibited a large quantity of latest high-tech achievements, which are in the leading position of the world, including products of the world's supreme transnational industries, as well as brand-products made in China and the latest researching results. During the 3 days exhibition since inauguration, the expo has received a good many visitors, almost 50,000 at the peak, which made it one of the most popular exhibitions in Chinese International Exhibition Center.

It is known that, trade talks and forum activities carried out at the same time with the 9th High-tech Expo were going on all-round in more than 20 exhibition halls in Beijing. Promoting activities for economy and trade items of the 9th High-tech Expo has attracted thousands of businessmen, at home and abroad, to participate enthusiastically.

Vice chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress He Lulia and Xu Jialu, Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate Jia Chunwang, and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Zhang Rongming have also visited the Expo.
